Not sure about the current incarnation of the company, but the previous owner had a speckled past that was widely discussed on this boardm

I would spend your money elsewhere. Look into a upstanding wheel company that will be around in the future and stand behind their work. I dealt with NewGen on my last set of wheels and they were a pain in the ass.

If you're stuck on them, find out how long from order to build. I would then find out how many days you have to file a claim with your CC company on merchandise not delivered. Take no excuses and if the date comes close, file a claim before its too late.

I tried searching New Gen wheels on here but it just keeps comming back with searches with the word new and wheels so I can't really find out any info on them. And that's why I started asking about them on here.

The guy that started New Gen is no longer on here due to some issues. You can probably hit him up on FB, I know they still have a presence there. Here is the shop he used to own. You can search "driverz inc" online if you want to find info.

Search on here for "Driverzinc". Which was Jon's company. "New Gen Wheels" was a side line that sold his wheel designs. Look at about April 2012 when it hit the fan. He then started "New Gen Wheels" as a separate business.

I believe in second chances, but, Buyer Beware.

Why would you bother, You would have to be a fool to give this guy your hard earned money after what he put some of his "customers" through.

I've ordered several sets of wheels through Jon/NewGen wheels within the past 6 months. Absolute pleasure to deal with.

I'll admit too that I was kind of like "dude what the hell happened?" He took the time out of his day to explain everything that happened and why it happened and such. I think if I was in that same position it would have ended up the same way.

I'd explain it all but honestly I'd probably screw up the details. Plus its not my place to tell other peoples personal business. Just take 15 minutes and give him a call. You'll understand.

I couldn't explain it better myself but I did talk to him last night and I will be placing a order with him so I will let everyone know how it goes. He seemed like a real humble guy and totally regrets what had happened in the past. I'm not here to defend or or try and ruin his name but I will make sure to post my experience with New Gen wheels.

      New Gen wheels.

Did you end up buying the wheels? If so do you have any pictures?

Good luck getting the wheels. Dan seems to have been able to get his orders, so hopefully you do too.
