Z06 Rims finally installed.

I finally finished my wheel adapters and mounted my Z06 rims on my Chevelle. I am really happy with the look. I wish I had a little taller front tire, but it isn't bad as is. Now I just like to sit and look at the front and rear of the car. It looks so much better with 10" tire on the front and 11" on the rear.



That was step one in losing 'poser' status. The next step is to actually put them to good use. That should come this weekend when I catch my first autocross event. :icon996:

Those wheels look great on there. Did you go with the 17/18 combo or 18s all around? Looks like 17s up front?

Also, what does a spacer/hub adapter like that cost, and where'd ya get 'em? I need something like that for my Tahoe (only smaller).

Those are OEM take offs, so they are 17x9.5 front and 18x10.5 rear. I made the adapters myself, but you can get them from many places. Vette Brakes has them. If you do a quick search there a bunch of companies. I think they are in the $300 range.

R.J.,Thanks for the help, the wheels are killer. Ouch $300, huh? That's what I was figuring. I just need them to move my rear tires out a touch, I hate they way mine tuck in now. Just not sure if the look is worth $300, lol.

If you need to move out just a little why not run spacers?...he used bolt on adapters because he needed about 2"

I'm looking at moving them out about .75-1". I guess that's not really a little, but they're 305/70/16s, so anything less would be hardly noticeable. I'm weary of spacers due to horror stories of hearing them break.

That makes 2 of us running OEM GM rims! They look great on there. Is that 50 series rubber in the back? Tire sizes would be great.

I think it looks good too, however not be a downer but it looks as if the rear should come down about 1". Looks like almost too much rake, the front is perfect

The tires are 275/40-17 front and 295/45-18 rears.

Yody, you are right. The rear is to high right now. The front have QA1 coil overs so I can dial that in for height, but the rear is completely stock right now. Maybe, if work calms down I'll get to my 3-link over the winter. I am loading my new copy of WinGeo on the computer tonight. I just might be able to get it done.

Yes 1" is way much for a spacer....I try to keey the spacers to 1/2" max.

I also went with the ZO6 wheels. I got them off eBay for 400 bucks.

I think some of the oem stuff is just as good looking as the aftermarket.
