1968 gto wheel size

in the final stages of my 68 gto, and im looking for wheel choices. thinking about going with 19's and 20's.

but havent decided on going away from the classic rally 2 look or somthing a little more modern.

any suggestions?

I'm totally biased but it's hard to deny how cool a set of Whiplashes look like on this 69 model

Heres my 70 lemans, Jons car has the some pretty wide meats on his 68 haven't seen anyone else with a wider set.

im doing the finishing stages of the sound deadener in my car right now, and ill post pics up soon!

as for the wheels, i still do not have a clue.

(although, i like the idea of the 20-19" rally II)

I'm in the same boat with my 68 GTO. Still need to order my rear and I think I'm going with the shorter length 65-67 like roadbuster did. Looking for a wheel shop in the Los Angeles area to build the wheels on the car, as I don't want to make a costly mistake. Keep me posted on your progress.

Driverz Inc is in Corona and Jon is pretty damn good at getting the perfect fitment on wheels..

hey nash judge, you have a great looking 69! love the stance and the wheels.

i decided after all i was going to put redlines and keep the original wheels on the car, but just put a nice drop to the car to give it pro touring/classic look.

I'm not sure how much this helps being I have the body off the frame. This is a 69' LeMans I've been working on. I have Kore3 Z51 brakes all around, so it might give you some reference material. I'm using the Summit Legend 5's. They're super sharp-looking and 140 bucks a wheel. Front: 18x8.5 (4.25 backspacing) Rear: 18x9.5 (5.5 backspacing). Front tires: 245-35-18 Rear 295-35-18.

These are what I am looking at for my 68 GTO I am thinking 17's in the front and 18's in the back, pretty good deal about 1400 bucks with some good tires out the door....

where do I get that front valance with the lights ???? is it fiber glass?? dont want to cut up my original. any way beautiful car... one more thing tire size ?? on that car??

That is a hand fabbed piece made from mating a 69 Camaro valance to the GTO unit. The wheels are our Rushforth Whiplash in 19x8 and 20x10
