      1971 Chevelle Street fighter project

Thats exactly what I'm talking about.. Kits are a tad pricey but how legit would it be to be able to swap out your wheels without having to lug around a floor jack

Pretty soon this car will be sitting on the ground without jack stands

I am curious if anyone has experience making sheet metal inner fenders? I think it will be a great way to tie in the firewall & engine bay.
Has anyone used a gloss black or satin black on there dashboard, is the glare that bad off the gloss???

Thanks, I am thinking a Satin top, with a simulated metal face finish.. Should look good with all the Phantom gauges...

      Great build Sean.

I had to install a Fays 2 watts in my car because the rear end was shifting side to side in the corners at the track and rubbing my quarter panels. With the triangulated 4 link you may want to go with a track bar.

Thank you, I appreciate the info. I have a rear bar just have not put it on yet, still working on the upper mount for my coil-overs, I moved everything from the back of the rear end to the front. Which may change the recommend spring rate but once I get everything all lined up and the bar on going to take some time to shake the car down - hopefully @ RTTC & Del mar

Setting the ride height & Setting up the rear brakes..

Sorry I have been MIA guys & gals... Picking up my car next week so I started setting ride height & putting the rear brakes on so the axles dont come slidding out..
Yes, I am running the Baers Track 4 calipers on all for corners, this was a big deal for me, i was not interested in the smaller rotor or calipers. Yes the rear brakes are overkill according to everyone in the industry... I feel though if you have 700+hp you should have ever possible amount of braking available. I have done some modifications so that they will be able to work. The setup is hard to make functional with a single master cylinder. with that said I am running a reverse swing wilwood pedal with dual master cylinders mounted under the dashboard. Soft lined down the firewall to hard lines on the frame & crossmember. Cool thing about running your master cylinders under the dash is i will be able to mount a wilwood proportioning valve inline for the rear brakes, allowing me to add or pull rear brakes on the fly.
Ride height is handled by a set of ridetech coil-overs mounted in front of the rear end. I am using a adjustable lower mount allowing for 3" of ride height tuning without pulling the shock out of the stroke.
So I am taking my car home next week for the 1st time since i bought it almost two years ago. I am planning on wiring, plumbing the fuel, and the brakes at home. Then I am going to start back in on the paint. ... I am not going crazy on the interior of the car just something functional and clean. Expect more images to come. ..

      Sean,
I wish I had my own shop in the SD/Temecula area. I would have loved to have worked on your car with you and help out. Its horrible what some places are coming too anymore. Its a real downer on the hobby. Thats why I try to do as much as possible.
