fwiw that looks like an L88 hood, not a stinger hood.

It is an L88 hood carbon fiber hood, but i stated that i scored a stinger hood that i'll paint satin black to match the wheels, body stripe.

So I have been intrigued and doing my own research and think I'm going to do this. Did you mask off your tires, or did you just peel it off the tires after?

Stick index cards between the rim and the tire, no need to mask anything! (besides valve stem)

ok... first off your car is beautiful. very cool.

second off I have been wanting to do a matte finish black on a few parts and this is a perfect way to test out the waters. if i'm not happy with it i'll just peal it off.
