Those who have installed or have had installed ISIS...

Any estimate as to how long it takes? I've got 4 cells plus the mastercell, and I'm considering farming out the wiring. I just don't have the space to do it. I could if the cost was just going to be astronomical, but I don't even know what a reasonable amount of time would be.

Isis 3 cell plus an extra
      Mastercell
      InVironment
      4.6 dohc Ford (N/A)
      1967 Mustang
MiMod (i think this would simplify the wiring, since there won't be many switches to mount or wire).

The old harness is stripped out already, though I do still have it, albeit hacked up. A local shop that I used to work at has done 3 or 4 isis installs and they seem comfortable with the system, but I'm still looking for ball park time estimates.

Let me know oid there are any other details needed.

I've done a three installs with Isis systems and I'm guessing your looking at about 80 hrs give or take. I've not installed the invironment or mimod though.

I have looked at the Isis systems, and I having a hard time understanding how power is supplied to the component?
I have done auto wiring the "old fashion way", I have read the install directions, but I just cant wrap my head around this system?
maybe it was the 4 trips to Iraq, and bouncing my head off an air-frame, it's a bad day when you bend a Blackhawk!
      could you explain it?

Power goes from the battery directly to each PowerCell and InMotion box. The MasterCell does not need battery power.

The MasterCell sends commands via CANBus to the PowerCell and InMotion boxes to tell them to supply power from their battery input to the component.

what john said with the addition that your switches or switched to ground. Your headlight switch for example: normally has a heavy gauge postive wire supplying it, and when switched will supply power to your headlights, parking lights, etc directly.. With Isis you will have a small ground wire supplying the switch and when the switch is activated your sending a signal back to the master cell that will then tell the power cell to supply power to the headlights, parking lights, etc. trouble shooting is simplified and the addition of some pretty cool features come with the isis system. Hope I helped some.
