      Cam selection for 408 LS2

Got suggestions on a cam for 408 cubed LS2 with Advanced Induction TFS 230 heads, Ported Fast 102/102 TB, ARH 1 7/8" LT ORY. Want something that is still streetable and valvetrain friendly, yet will make good power. Car is M6, weighs 3400, 02 Camaro SS.

      Thanks

If you're getting your heads from Advanced Inductions let Phil spec your cam. I have a AI 226/234 .600 .600 114 cam in my car right now. It made 20rwhp and 20rwtq more than my old cam with similar specs. My main reason for switching cams was drivability. My old cam didn't like cruising below 1900 rpms. It would buck and surge a bit. My new AI cam will run almost to idle without issues.

I have always let Phil spec them before...They do a great job. They make a super quality product. Im really suprised more folks on here haven't heard of AI and don't use their products. My engine builder wanted to have input in the cam, is the only reason I didn't let Phil do it. I'm just trying to get some general thoughts from folks to help ensure I'm going in the right direction. FWIW my AI headed LS1 made almost 460rwhp on a very stingy dyno.

Hey man, I use Patrick G over on LS1tech. He spec'd out a cam for my dad on his 440ci LSX build and made 640whp. The man does his thing well! Check him out if you'd like. He can also have it made for you.
