Irvine Cars & Coffee this Saturday - anyone going?

My buddy & I are Heading to Cars & Coffee in Irvine this Saturday with the Camaro. Wondering if anyone else is up for meeting up there? I think Matt will be there. Maybe can twist Ron's arm too?

Let me know if you can make it so we can connect.

I am a regular there, so I will probably be there. Just look for an orange 72 Firebird with gold GTA wheels.

I live within a few miles but have never gone, too early for me usually. Same with Huntington's 6:00am?? If my car was ready, I would try and wake up though and should be there following RTTC, so keep it up and we can increase our presence there. Unfortunately, I have to modify a few things to keep from embarrassing myself in March but probably nothing could prevent that. Enjoy!

Doug, Gregg's car is out of commission this week. He's got to change the fuel pump set up on it. Don't know if you're up for a little cruise in a couple of weeks, but Ron has been trying to get us to head up to Super Car Sunday, and make a trip over to JCG.

Actually Bryan gets credit for the idea, but I got nominated as the social director. I need to clear the date w Cris, but how does the 19th look? Let's do a roll call in this thread. Post up here if the date looks good!

I think it would be the 18th Saturday, right? If so, my car may be ready by then, will advise if I can make it.

Your calculations are absolutely correct, Bob. Supercar Sunday (in Woodland Hills) is on the 19th...

Ron, what exactly is Super Car Sunday? Is it only for you pretty guys and JCG/BOS cars? I don't fit in with that crowd--not with my gaps. Please advise--I love the idea of driving out to Woodland Hills---that's a good hour and a half drive one way for me---I could hit PCH for part of it.

So you're just going to leave Ron with the keys right?

Not sure how I missed all the replies on this thread. Matt - Thanks for covering.

Yes - we've had an interesting run shaking out the bugs in the car - mostly liquid related lol. As of late Friday, new vaporworx kit is in and operational. Seems to have settled the fueling issues we were having. New catch-can is in. Re-sealed axle in housing (seepage made a big mess) and decided to ceramic coat the headers while the car was down for a few days - trying to pull down the under-hood temps a little.

Saturday morning I took a run up to C&C - my longest run yet and no issues - woohoo! It started raining part way up (what's new?!) but thanks to the Rain-X I perservered. I expected a low turnout with the rain but it was one of the better turnout's I've seen! The car was well received and I met some good people. Headed from there over to El Toro where I spent much of the day watching Matt (in his GT500 Mustang) and Steve (in Penny) on the road coarse chasing each other down. A great day among some more good car folk. The "older" cars were well received among a field of largely late model exotics/performance cars (including a McClaren, lots of Porsches, Vettes, a Ferrari, Ford GT etc) - everyone pushing hard.

Will continue the shake-down but I feel we are at least mobile now - so I'm up for a JCG visit or similar drive whenever. (Chris - just leave the keys under the mat). Got to get some miles on her before RRTC - yikes! (more to the point - the driver needs miles!)
