      Turbo stroker or not

Was wanting to ask some of you guys that know more about the turbo and twin turbo set ups if it is good or a bad thing to turbo a LS stroker motor ? Trying to find out witch way to go on a LS 6.0 build, use the stock ci motor with stock crank and a good set of rods and pistons? or stroker ket ?
      Thanks Garrett

I did a twin turbo LS2 stroker (402 cid) and it seemed to work just fine.

Thanks, was it more of a street car or a race set up. Because the set up I would like to build will be driven a lot and raced ?
      Thanks Garrett

Yes, and thanks! There are more pics in my signature link. I didn't use a kit, bought the individual parts from Kurt Urban. Callies crank, Howard rods, offset pin turbo pistons from Ross I believe.

Here's the link to the twin turbo Chevelle:

Just click on the drivetrain, engine, assembly, etc. links for the pics.

thanks, loved that car. Turbos are Precision T6776RE's, ball bearing, water cooled. Spooled quick on a 402.

a 6776 is kind of a hybrid; spools like a 67 but flows like a 76 in basic terms. I wanted a big enough turbo for a 402 but wanted it to spool quickly. I called Precision and this was their recommendation, and I was very happy with it.

The water cooling is nice for turbo temps and longevity, plus the bearings allow quick spool and very little drag, but you'll have no problem with the standard bearing turbos.

I tried to dyno it once on the pump gas 15 psi setting, but it kept shutting off the dyno (too much torque). Made 722 rwhp and 784 rwtq at 4800 rpms. I figure it had to be 900+ rwhp with a full pull compared to other cars I've had at that level. I did add water injection later as a safety factor with pump gas, the dyno was made on just 91 octane without water injection.

I think I dropped the boost to 8-9 psi and got a full pull, somewhere in the 650 rwhp range. Didn't get a printout of that one.
