      Mechanical Fuel Pump

Has anyone used a belt driven mechanical fuel pump on a street driven car? I'm putting a LS3 in the Firebird and was thinking about using a stock tank with a mechanical pump up front. Any comments/suggestions?

Have you considered the 4th gen electric fuel pump module?
This is what I am using in a 79 TA stock tank.

Getting a mechanical pump to prime with starter cranking rpm is usually a failure waiting to happen sooner or later. Several of us here have been down that road and it is very frustrating at the moment of glory you hope to have the day at the track or car show!
