I said it reminded me of it. I didn't compare them in any way. They basically copied the style of the Roadster Shop. They say that imitation is the best form of flattery.

are they even capable of building a car that doesn't look like a tacky piece of crap that was designed by a bored 5th grader?

Now, I enjoyed Pimp My Ride. It was funny. It was like watching a group of clowns pretending to be funny firemen and driving around with 15 of them in a mini sized fire engine. This piss poor example of a show, Inside West Coast Customs, is insulting to my eye's. It's the same clowns pretending to be legit car customizers, but in this one they are serious!

I always thought their builds looked good on TV... I'm sure lighting and camera angles can make a huge difference to what you see in person. I did question thou the quality of something that could be built in 1-2 weeks no matter how skilled the group of people were that were building it (went for Overhauling and the like as well).

The shop is a marketing machine... But their builds are crap

As soon as I hear they are doing a build like that in a month..... You know it will be crap. You can't do that radically of a build in that time frame and have it be quality work... Period

I actually like the way they modernized the classics. We can argue about fit and craftsmanship, but I think we can agree that they are one of the few shops out there doing complete classic/modern hybrids. That in itself is a big engineering feat.

I have always heard their work leaves a lot to be desired - that Tron Audi they built is undriveable during the day because of the reflection and with those wheels you can't drive over 40 MPH - But did anybody see that wide body 67 Chevelle in the background (kind of interesting)

It is one thing to build it, and make it drive down the street, it is another thing to actually engineer it so it works as intended...
