Great. Maybe you can come up with a few sway bar solutions for me while you're at it. I've been looking at the modular muscle bar you have for the Mustang but dont know if it would fit.

I'll be there Sunday - just for a good looksee. I have to work on Sat, and my ride isn't complete yet

Come hell or high water, I will have something to show for it next summer...if the stars align just right, I may have her complete for the Spring Goodguys show

We're tryin'. Changed all the intake and EFI over the last few weeks, (had to freshen up the motor as we cracked a piston/rings in Columbus or Iowa) Still having some issues, but we're not giving up the fight just yet.

no sign up sheet...just have to show up and get in when we run. I wish I could have a more structured process but thats all I can do with the Goodguys schedule at the moment.

Great day, Shipka-fast, Jimmie Day-fast, Brett/ridetech-fast, No Limit-fast. A fun track, cool cars, great day. If you missed it, you missed out. Another cool GoodGuys event.

Fast guys are consistently doing 54,55... I FINALLY barely find a 59 on my second to last run... Must - Go - Faster! The car has it. I dont... Yet. I've got a lot of work to do before San Antonio. I met several of the gang there and had a great time.

Yep, saw you cruising the autocross, nice ride.

The Ring Bros booth and the Goolsby Mustang were the highlights for me, never seen work of that quality in person. If I can acomplish something even 1% of their greatness I would be proud. Killer event, best of the FW GoodGuys I have been to.

You did great over the weekend - improving steadily from Friday through Saturday and the car was slot of fun to watch!

Thanks Scott! I was really lucky to be able to attend the show at all - I was traveling with work and had to layover in Houston for the night so I managed to arrange things to stay an extra day - what a great choice! The autocross course at Ft. Worth was the longest course I've ever seen at a Goodguys show with an average time of about a minute vs. the typical 30 second peanut. Jimi was driving in the Vendor class and I was driving in the Street Machine class and we both finished Friday leading our class - unfortunately by the end of the day our left front tire was starting to chunk (we think due to the combination of low tire pressure and the run flat design) so we were worried heading in to Saturday. At the beginning of the day we decided to up the tire pressure and hope that the fronts held together for the day. Out of the shoot Saturday we the car was loose as all get out with the higher pressure and I immediately blamed the track... well next pass Bret puts together a great run and bumps Jimi out of first and right after that Terry Nueville lays down his fastest run of the weekend and suddenly things are really close - so much for it being the track! By mid morning Jimi had stopped making passes... the front tire was getting worse and it was in his head while he was driving; I nursed it through the morning but by lunch break everyone seemed to be about a half second off - in the heat of the day the track seemed to be going away.

After lunch I was holding on to first by just over a tenth of a second to Terry with a 53.62 vs a 53.7? but we were both running 54.1s and didn't think that either of us had anything left. That's how things stood at 2:30 (when official timing apparently ends) but we both had one more run left. Terry went out in front of me and I sat and watched as he ran an awesome 53.6 something... there was a mild commotion over at the timing tent as I staged and I took some advice that Mary gave me during OLoA and told myself that this was "the run", that I was behind, and that I needed a smooth, solid lap. I had a good launch and hazed the tires through second and made what I felt was a decent lap; there were a couple of spots that I messed up but I put the pedal down through the finish line and hoped for the best. Turned out it was a 53.3 - so much for the track going away. Neither of our final runs counted but it was a great way to end the day and goes to show that you never know when "the run" is going to happen.

Congrats to Bret who won the Vendor class in the ridetech 48-hour Camaro and to Rob McGregor (No Limit) who won the Truck class as well. Pro-Touring was well represented this weekend and we all put on a show!

It was nice to put faces to the names. Had a great time even though I did manage to put a dent in the fastbacks quarter panel during the auto x! I seemed to hit the only cone that had a pole int it! But had a blast everyone was super nice cant wait for the spring! Chris I love the Maverick wish I could have talked to you more.
