As for the hand-me-down parts, I think Sam is holding out for the same setup so all our old stuff will be for sale soon to help pay for the new parts...

Deb's parts are very similiar already and money needs to cover down on the cost of the new parts. I like where your head is though!

Nope, not really a GMPP "LSX" block or crate motor, but just a 6.2L take out. I debated the definition of LSX for a while before going with the badge. I finally decided that to us, LS refers to a Gen. III or IV small block engine and X is the variable. What do you think of that logic?

I have real silver 66 SS tags in my tool box if that makes it any closer... But, the car started life as a 136 Malibu and that is where it will stay. At this point the only thing that could make it further from a real Malibu or SS is a tubular frame and you know we aren't going there any time soon.

Thanks Sean, I really thought last year when we got it on the road it had arrived and would just stay the same. Guess I was sadly mistaken about that!

Hey Bobby, good to see you on here! We missed you at Motorstate this year. I'm sure we hang out a couple more times before the season is over.

Sounds correct to me because in pickups alot of guys say LS swap and most put is an LQ4 or LQ9 nut it is still an LS based platform

Okay, I am not a LS guy so I was confused. I know they have the LSX shootout and I guess that just means LS anything.

I would probably do something like "LS 366" in the style of the old SS 396 emblem. But that is just me.

Tom I had the same thinking when I chose my license plate, with the X any future engine changes are covered.

Alright, the other L92 needs cam bearings and now will need a few more things before putting it back together. So, I stumbled onto a very fair deal on ebay and here it is. A brand new GM L92 crate engine with zero miles on it. We'll put our Mast cam and LS3 intake in/on this one and then rebuild the other one for Sam's four door project. The only catch was that we needed to wait until my National Guard training was done to head to Atlanta, GA to pick it up.
