      Seems like a pretty good alternative to a standard mountain bike to me.

      Sure until, you figure that the bike probably costs 4k+. Which means you could spend 1k on a great hardtail mountain bike(most of people don't need f/s) and have another 3k+ for a personal trainer to get in freakin lance armstrong shape.

      IMO this bike is the epitome of laziness and defeats the point of mountain biking. To get out, get exercise, and feel like you accomplished something by climbing a big hill.(and possibility the satisfaction of flying down the hill, if you're a downhill/adrenaline junkie like myself)

      You're still able to pedal . . . I guess I'd better not mention the existence of dirtbikes. I'd rather fly down said theoretical hill with some decent suspension travel.
