Man that just sucks! I would go with spacers and ARP studs to get her back on the road just like you said.

Sorry to hear this happened to your car. I lost a rear Cragar on my Z28 pulling a holeshot when I was a kid. It sheared all the studs off and crushed the rear quarter. They had a bad habbit of loosening up every once in a while. If you go with the spacers check them after a few miles and then every once in a while after to make sure they stay tight . Even the best studs will fail if they get loose.

alright guys, i finally got some pictures of the new fender on, sorry for the quality they are from my blackberry. but the fender looks good. im definitely going to let the body shop tweak it a little because im no body man lol but all in all it came out good so far. i also got a quick shot of the new ARP studs installed before i put the rims back on. she should be going for paint tomorrow since i can move it around now without worrying about the wheels falling off again. -Dom

alright guys, i had the body work done on the new fender after the little tragic event happened. But now shes back on all four feet and running good as new. i got a few shot of her without the stripes but i decided to go ahead and put them back on. i also indexed the spark plugs and am running 100+ octane now and it feels a lot better running an driving as well. so after all was said and done i took her out for a spin to stretch her legs lol. thanks for looking and Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Mr.Vengeance if you could put the last picture and what ever other one you want on the streetfighter website that would be dope! lol thanks-Dom

Looking good Dom!... Can't wait to see it at NJMP in April... (hopefully the event is official soon)... Did you get your seat belt situation handled? I didn't mean to be pushy about steering you away from whole Simpson Harness deal... just didnt want to see you waste money like I did and not be able to get out and race it.... boy my wife is going to be pissed when she see's another set of harnesses come in the mail (the right ones this time).. LOL

thanks sean, i am probably going with the scroth harnesses like u said because i don't want to run a cage because its going to be a street car too and i don't want to have to worry about wearing a helmet so i don't get hurt. and you weren't pushy at all, you just didn't want me to make the mistake you did and i appreciate it lol. yea i cant wait to hit the cones with this bad boy lol and hopefully i can get on the road course because that would be sick as well.-Dom

yea they are only flat black vinyl, they cost me about $20 for both sides and they are 3.5" wide and 2feet long. but i trimmed a little off because they were long. the reason i went with the vinyl was because i could always remove them if i got sick of them and wouldn't have to repaint the whole fender.-Dom

the disc are sooooo much better not only in looks but in stopping lol, i don't know how people could have drove like that in 1969 hahaa. yea we definitely have to meet up one of these days, you should come to the meet in jersey in April that Bill Howell is organizing. and i didnt go to the bald hill show because i had the mishap with the wheel studs snapping and the tire coming off, but next year i will try and make alot of them.-Dom

Dom, Hold off on the Schroth harness... atleast with NASA as of April 1, 2011 NO 4 point harnesses will be allowed regardless of dot approval... Not sure if the event in NJ will be run by them, but a 3 point "factory style" seems the way to go according to the rules next year (in regards to the road coarse, for autocross a lap belt is sometimes acceptable, lol) ... now i'm confused on what to do!.... see the top of page 42...
      http://www.nasaproracing.com/rules/ccr.pdf

i'm waiting for this NJ thing to go "official", and i'll see what the rules are before i buy any more harnesses...LOL
