      Car got keyed!!!!.....twice

So my 90 Iroc is my daily driver, has been for the past 3 years. Two weeks ago I park it outside a movie theater and come back to find it keyed all down the passenger side. My car is two toned and they hit the silver so it wasn't so noticeable, although I was upset. Then tonight I come out of Barnes and Noble Bookstore to find that it has been keyed again, same side but all down the black paint!!! Much more noticeable and even deeper (cant just be buffed out). I dont have any enemies i know would do this. Although I figure its probably random im still pissed! ...... end rant

Not recently, but I do have an ex that may do that if she happened to see my car somewhere.

I feel for you. When I was in high school I had a cheap old motorcycle. It looked ratty so I put some new shiny black paint on the tank, probably spent the better part of a week sanding, prepping, spraying, then color sanding and buffing until it was super shiney. I was proud, then some waste of a human keys it in a parking lot. I mean, who the hell keys a motorcycle tank. I guess some people get jealous, even when something is nice on a mere $300 motorcycle.

MrQuick, if you are ever nearby San Antonio, TX, I'm buying you a beer.
Thank you for your contribution. Now I know I am not the only one that does that.

File a police report asap and go back there to see if there is any surveillance cameras in the area. If there are cameras tell the Police right away due to the fact that some of the recorders do not retain the video for that long, some are only days. The sooner the better.

Maybe, my 3rd gens seemed to be bigger targets than anything else I have had.

I can't stand things like this. I went to the movies one night and got in my truck to leave and about 3 miles down the road it started to feel like a tire was going down, so I got out and changed a tire in the dead of night in the dark (I now carry a backup flashlight to the first flashlight). When I got the tire home, I further inspected it and it had a nice linear puncture that looked like a knife had been stuck through it. The guy at the tire shop confirmed it and then a few weeks later there was a story on the local news about the fact that about 30-40 cars in the area had been knifed. That is destruction of property, but if I had been on the interstate, it could have caused some real damage. I can't wrap my head around some people and the choices that they make.

It's either that ex, or you're the worst at parking in a parking lot spot ever.

I really know how you feel. Bought a 1989 Iroc after getting my BSEE in 3 years.Had it for a week and someone keyed both sides, the hood, hatch. Had to have the whole car repainted. They hit every panel. I was at a river raft place in Wisconsin so it was no one I knew. The only good thing about it was I did have one killer paint job when it was done.
      I defintely feel your pain.

It's always the ones that you don't know, that do that type of stuff.

About 3 years ago I moved into a new condo complex with a "secure" underneath parking garage. Within 2 weeks of being there someone keyed almost every bodypanel on my car. Up to that point,I hadn't even driven it yet since the move, or even met anyone in the building.

After that, and about $9k, I got myself back my old parking in one of the other buildings I used to live in and got myself a new flamed four-tone paintjob
