529 plan for your kid. Seriously, at this age putting away something so minor as $1000 or so will do wonders when college time comes around. Look into it. Utah's plan is typically the best and you're allowed to invest even though you're not in Utah. You'll think me when you're older and have a lot more money for the cars that you didn't spend on college.

Not sure your plans but I know you can adapt an LSx PCM to control the new Hemis. From what I understand, the Hemi PCMs aren't that great and neither is the available tunning software. That may have changed over the last few years though.

Well I made my motor mounts. Sucked but they turned out ok for being cut out with a grinder.

Nice build! So how are you gonna control the new Hemi? Stock ECM? Aftermarket ECM?

Hopefully Ill be picking up an 06' 5.7 tomorrow for my project. Keep the updates coming.

05 truck pcm manual transmission non mds should do the trick and allow me to tune it with a diablosport tuner.

Nice, Ill have to keep my eye on this build. Gotta see how you do some stuff, I just picked up a wrecked 06' Ram 2wd auto, for the 5.7. I plan on going the same route, hopefully the auto pcm will work with a 4spd lol.

You can disable the trans logic in the cmr software. Thanks to Johan at diablosport for listening to me on that one.

Nice i remember you from FABO. I was looking into shipping your old chrome bumpers since you were going to use a bad set for a "project". I love the scamp. How hard was it to swap over to the older rear valance bumper setup you got goin on there? I would like to do that one day to mine as well.

The hard part was deciding what I wanted it to look like when I was done. I decided to cut the old sheet metal out behind the bumper and remake it all then use the actual bumper itself for the rear structure of the car. It's all going to get molded in so it appears to be one piece back there. I also usewd the 70-72 rear fender extentions. I still have those bumper laying around the garage taking up space if you want them.

Just hit the mother load of garage parts finds. My buddy had basically enough parts to put my engine back together sitting in his garage next to my old shortblock so he brought it all over. New gaskets, timing chain, pcm, jeep srt8 manifolds, and other needed parts. Should speed my build up a bit I hope. and for $200 bucks for all these new parts I wont complain.
