      Front Frame Notch?

      Hi all,

As you can see I am new to this forum and after selling my last project (a Factory Five Racing Roadster) I am ready to start the next so I bought a clean 69 Camaro and want to build it pro touring.

I plan on starting on it this winter by pulling the sub frame ,cleaning up the fire wall and doing mods to the sub but I can't find any pics or info about the frame notch to fit wider tires up front. I am a cert diesel mech so I think you cut the frame so the wheels have more clearance when turning. Is this right? Does someone have picks?

      And I tried the search

      Thanks much

      Danny

Search for a thread I started. I wanted to do this on my Nova and haven't done it yet. Someone replied in my thread with a link to a thread where they notched the frame in their Camaro. Has pics and everything. I'll see if I can find it.

      EDIT: Here:

LOL! The one aspect of my life where my memory is good is cars. Anything else (like things I'm supposed to do today or people's names) I'm horrible.

I plan on 18 wheels but would like to go wide all the way around, just like everyone else.

Thanks for finding those Matt. I'm planning to notch my Nova's frame in a couple months to clear some 275s (or bigger...).
