      Elcamino Rendering-Paint Color

      Hey everyone

So im not sure if I ever formally introduced my project. Its a 72
El camino that ive had since High school. Recently put an all new drive train, zz383 700r4 12 bolt posi. {for now } All new suspension with GW and Hotchkis. interior with racing buckets and a few other goodies here and there. Next was to contact someone about having a rendering done of the car and adding some ideas I had to it. Ben Hermance came to the rescue and this is what he came up with.
      Whatcha think?

Anyone know or have experience as to what color I can best match this blue?

Ben did a great job on the rendering, as usual. That blue is nice and reminds me of a blue I saw the other day that I really liked. I thought it was on a newer Lincoln MKS but I just checked and the 2010 Steel Blue MKS is too light and it was too hard to judge the 2011 Kona Blue based on computer screen. If I see or remember the car I will make sure to post back.

Your best best is to run around to all the new car dealerships in your area on a Sunday (when they are closed) and look around for something you like/matches. Good luck!

That looks pretty sweet to me. When you get that dark blue paint in the sun, BAM it hits you.
I like the subtle rally stripes too, nice choice!

      Thanks guys.

yeah that blue is awesome. I was originally sold with black, but when I saw this blue I knew I had to go this route.

The hood is my favorite part. I didnt like how bulky the harwood model was. I think this rendering turned out great.

The hood is currently being built at the metal shop.

That blue is beautiful and is a great complement to the shape and style of the car, especially in (non-excessive) contrast with the stripes.

      BTW...

Looks awesome... almost like an exaggerated, anime-style Cobra Jet scoop... but it seems very subtle and well integrated on the car.
