      1971 Nova Turbo build

This is my nova I've had for the past 6 years. I restored the car with my father. When we first built it we set it up for mostly drag racing. Now that I'm older I want to build my car to handle and update it a bit. I took my nova to a open track day and once I hit the track I knew I wanted to make a my nova handle so I can rip up the turns. I've been doing little things to update the car, I got new seats and a steering wheel and other misc interior bits. My next plan is to get the suspension worked over. New springs, sway bars. I also will be getting 18's this winter. To add a little power to the car I picked up a GT30R turbo to slap on my 350. Ill be doing almost all of the work this winter. Here are a few pics of it as is (The floor shifter was for mock up. Its not installed yet. The column shifter will be shaved and the dash will be painted black.)

New seats I just put in

      New wheel

      Some action shots LOL

Photoshop of the wheels and drop

What it looked like when I first had it

Very nice, I'm liking the vinyl roof! Don't forget to put brakes on your to-do list, the stockers don't appreciate track conditions much...

Thanks! Ya I forgot to add that, I'm looking at the CPP big brake kit. Four wheel manual drums are not enough LOL.

I would look at doing C5 Corvette brakes, they can be had pretty cheap. All said and done my setup will cost $400, got the calipers (C5 front,Ls1 rear), rotors, and pads for $200. Kore3 sells the adaptor brakets for the fronts for $120, and a master cylinder is $46 at autozone.

Thanks! The seats are out of a hyundai tiburon, the wheel is out of a Chevy Euro. I got the seats and wheel for dirt cheap. Under a 100 for both.

Man the car looks great. You gotta lose the shackles though, atleast cut off the visible part. I really like the vinyl top too. I think on some cars it looks really cool. My buddy that I grew up with has an older NMCA Super Street 69 Nova that's Hugger Orange with a Black vinyl top and the car looks so bad ass. The car has an all aluminum 604ci BBC w/ an F-3 Procharger on it. He drives it on the street too. Keep up the good work man.
