      New guy from Washington

Hey all, I have been a fan of the pro touring style for some time. I am building a '71 Mercedes Benz 280SE with a factory 4.5 liter V8. I will start a build thread eventually, but here is a pic of the car lowered with wheels in it's first incarnation.

Very cool. I never get tired of seeing the more mainstream PT cars, but it's nice to see something really different.

I scored some wheels today. 18x8 and 9 staggered late model Mercedes AMG monoblocks... going to get lugs and spacers tomorrow... Also got all of my ignition stuff today... hopefully I can find a cruise-in somewhere this weekend.

So I scored on a new set of wheels... after chasing down spacers and lugs, I finally have the beast back on the road again... she aint as pretty as it once was, but it shouldn't take long to get it back nice again.

I will leave the engine stock for now. I came from the factory with a electronic fuel injected 4.5L V8. the suspension is just shortened stock springs (3 inches lower than stock), but I eventually want to set it up on modern air-ride.
