      Olds 461

As you see from the video the engine is in. It's running well and very strong. I'm looking forward to my first outing with the new drivetrain. The build up story can be found in June issue of PHR. In the meantime, here it is...

I love the bronze paint on the block. That is the same color I painted my engine. I only wish i had the cash to get the heads.

Nope I had open exhaust to get it to the muffer shop. A stock 330 sounds nothing like that.

You can find all the motor info in Popular Hot Rodding. The engine article is in the June issue that is out now.

This is awesome, Robert. I'm going to try to pick up that June issue tomorrow. Check out my 66 Cutlass. It has been a slow process, but I got a second wind and hope to have major changes by October.

Your engine looks very similar to mine, except I opted for the W-Z exhaust manifolds from a 442, W-30 that came with dual exhaust, rather than aftermarket headers (for now). I look forward to seeing and comparing the specs.

Photo from the Autocross at Street Car Faceoff at Elkhart Lake this past May. If you haven't gone and participated in one of these events, your missing out. I went to cover it and test out the Olds. It was a great time and fun experience. Here is a pic of Project Olds on the autocross. Thanks to Henry D for capturing this shot...

Project Olds was at the Motorstate Challenge, we took first in autocross for under 200 TW tire. Here is a vid of it on the autocross. I did get a little hot in the first turn.
