      Pro-Touring Podcast?

      To my Pro-Touring family,
I'm trying to get an idea of the value of a Pro-Touring/Peformance Car podcast with the members of this website, so please fill out the poll and feel free to also leave comments and/or podcasting ideas of what you would find interesting as content and interesting guests you'd like to hear interviewed.

      Thanks!

I'd watch a podcast, I think it would be pretty cool and fairly interesting.

Well, the podcast I'm assembling right now would be kind of like a downloadable 20 or 30 minute radio broadcast with me interviewing guests like Mary and David Pozzi, Jay Rowlands (director/producer of ClutchTheMovie.com), Larry Callahan, GM Performance to talk about LS engines, GM to talk about the 2010 Camaro, etc. Maybe I could get friends like Kyle Tucker, Jimi Day, John Hotchkis, Bret Voelkel, & more to come on the podcast in the future. I'll do my best to make it interesting and hopefully entertaining to boot!

The difference between a podcast and a radio show is, a radio broadcast you listen to on the radio, and to listen to a podcast you will download the show and put it on your iPod or download it and listen to it on your PC. To start out, it would be a once or twice a week show. If things go well, who knows?

      We'll see what happens...

Sounds cool, I'd be interested to listen in. I think I met you once at Speed Mercant. Right when your first book came out. Paul was dyno tuning my car. Wow, must have been about 6-7 years ago. Good luck with the pod casting thing, sounds like a cool project.

I think it is great and I would definitely listen.

There is more than enough content to keep it interesting. Reviews of different events, interview builders (pro and home builders), interviews about projects, product discussions would all be interesting.

The big thing would be to keep it entertaining and to have it on a regular basis. Nothing is worse than hearing a podcast two weeks in a row and then not hearing anything for 2 months.

      Good luck with it.

I'm looking for a good conversation on tire width vs wheel width for performance handling applications.

Best bet is to have a small batch of these complete before starting so you can release them regularly even if there is some delay finding topics or people to interview.

I added 2 more options to the poll.

I'm scheduled to interview Mary Pozzi on Thursday (April 22) night for my first podcast. I will be taking your questions for Mary...but only through E-mail [email protected] Don't post your questions here. I want to keep track of them and don't want to limit questions to Pro-Touring.com members.

We'll check the E-mail box on Thursday morning and if there happens to be 3 E-mails in the box, we'll answer them. If there's 10 or more E-mails, we'll answer as many as we can within our time constraints after we talk about what Mary wants to talk about. After the podcast is recorded, I'll delete that E-mailbox.

Cool! I just checked the votes. It seems that 40 people might listen. Sweet! That's 39 more than I expected. I appreciate the support guys and gals. ...now if I could only get 41...

I looked around for podcasts like this too and I didn't find anything like what I want to do. Adam Carolla has CarCast, but he's more of a European Sports Car guy than a Musclecar guy and it shows through in most of his shows. I think he's trying though. Of course I could never be as funny and entertaining as he is...if you're a fan.
