When using the watts with your Tq arm do you have to modify the floor pans like with the LD 3 link? Can this be made to work with factory frame rails?

Guys, it has 2x4 front rail, the perimeter is 2x3x.120 including the rear rails. This is a custom chassis, and was built to the customers specs. It needs a full 8-10 point cage to be used, Luca is planning on doing a 12 point cage. If your building a perimeter chassis I would recommend 2x4x.120 if not running a cage, or even a 4 point.
we did this for more head room with the flat floors (doing this will allow about stock height head room) and luca wanted it light and is doing a full cage.

Guys, Luca and his dad have some awesome car building skills and vision. It has been a pleasure working with him and I cannot wait to see the outcome, I know if will be off the charts!!!

I think Jake is just trying to be nice, I know I had to have bugged the hell out of him! He does some amazing work, I am very pleased with the frame it is going to be the base of a sweet ass 69.

FYI on the 2x3 unless you really want a flat floor, or plan to run a roll cage definitely do the 2x4. I ran the stress numbers on 2x3 versus 2x4 and the difference in weight was MUCH LESS than the loss in strength. So the little bit of lost weight comes at the cost of a much "bendier" frame.

The car is back in MT at my dad's shop, and I don't have any pics here. There isn't much to look at yet. I bought a $5500 roller, if that tells you anything. From the firewall forward is all new Dynacorn sheetmetal still in the black primer, the rest is decent shape but not worth the trouble to keep. We are going to replace ALL of the other body panels (roof, doors, rear quarters, rear filler, rear window panel, trunk lid, and possibly rockers). I'm hoping AMD has there roof skins and doors ready by then.

inner rockers will be removed, then plated with .125 plate. then channel body over fame and weld.

Update...
I designed and had a machinist buddy mill aluminum mounts for my Wilwood TC6 calipers.






I also designed then waterjet cut (3/16" High Strength Steel) and had another welder friend weld all the pieces together to make the custom fabricated sway bar arms.

Will all of your Apex subframes be using the fabricated upper and lower control arms with the C6 spindle or is this a one off? Just wondering the reason for the fabbed arms compared to your normal. Track width?

wes, No those are an option, they are d.o.m monoball control arms, for absolute control over geometry even in the toughest conditions. I will be releasing them soon. We have a few sets being tested in street use as well as wheel to wheel racing both in my aix camaro and a late model vette. They will bolt onto any corvette c5/c6 chassis, have all the correct mounts for lower shock and sway bar to be direct fit.

p.s- his track width is 1 inc narrower then our normal offering due to him already having his wheels.

My hub to hub width is 60.25", so with my brakes and wheels and tires the outside tire to outside tire is right around 68".
