I've run SpinTechs on my 351w, but I thought they were just a bit too loud for daily driving or long road trips. Also, the SpinTechs may not pass sound requirements at Laguna Seca, which is 92db. I swapped them for Dynatech Ultra Flows, and I'm happy with them on the street.

Have them on our bracket car. 3". They sound good, better than a flowmaster, but they definatly slow down the revs of the engine.

If you are looking for a high horsepower muffler, look elsewhere, if you are looking for a quiet muffler look elsewhere.

If you want a loud muffler that sounds good and a little different than the run of the mill flowmaster, get them.

wow so you can feel the difference between say spintechs and magnaflows?

is it the straight through design that helps?

I have Spin Techs on my Chevelle and they sound great, really aren't that loud, and have no affect on how fast or slow the engine revs.

I also have some videos on my youtube link you can listen to.

I have not run magnaflows on the car so I don't know.

I posted about this set up a year or so ago, and how you could really notice the slower revs.

Mine are the race mufflers as well, and turn down infron of rear tires, so that adds some noise.

Its a 600hp big block, so on a milder or smaller motor maybe there would be less notice.

I'm wondering if there are differences in the build that need explained. There are other comparisons that show the Spintechs actually allow the motor to rev easier than flowmaster. I wonder why the differences.

I'm not trying to disregard your opinion, but my 468" made a dyno proven 619hp at the flywheel and it revs like a 327.

The reason it revs so quickly is from the lightweight rotating assembly and lightweight roller valvetrain, not the mufflers.

Well, all I am saying is the when I undo the 6 bolts from the collectors and drop the exhuast, there is a noticable difference in the revs.

My dad was actually the one to complain about it. It still revs fast, but you can see and hear the difference.

And it is a full solid roller, gold roller rockers, girdles, etc....

      wmhjr,

I don't know what it is, I even check to make sure they did not weld the mufflers in place backwards.
