^^^ how long battery cable did you use to move it there? Is there a kit for that location?

I used the Summit Racing relocation kit. Ran the cable down the passenger inside. Plenty long enough. Grounded to the frame below.

Check out DSE web site. Under projects look at page 4 of Michael Manning's build. This is a pretty sweet set-up. A lot of fab work, so I'm not sure how far you are planning to go. I'm going to go this route on my build.....I think...

That guy did a nice job! I guess it depends on how far you want to take it.

I used the DSE mount and put it behind a panel that is attached with Velcro. This was before we made up a plexiglass sight window in the panel.

Check out Braille batteries. Very small and lightweight which can open up a lot more mounting options for you. If you like them let me know and I can get u a good deal as we are a dealer for Braille.

      Good luck,
      Jim

This is very good advice. I like my Braille battery so far and if done right you could sink it down in a fabbed box where the side filler to the quarter is making it lower and more secure with just a simple hoop over the top of it. It does however depend on how you run your exhuast and what type of rear suspension you go with.

Here is a pic of where I put mine. They do make a slimmer model that may package easier in the spot but it may not be as powerful as you may need, but that has yet to be determined since they are realatively new to the sceen.

No pics but my plan is to build a frame work to mount the optima and the ISIS module under the package tray.
I just picked up a billet aluminum tray for the battery off eBay...

Here is the DSE install. I'm planning something very similar, but recessed a bit more. I'm also doing something similar for a spare tire on the other side, recessing it down to use of much of the quarter panel as possible.

Nice... how does it mount? Are there holes under the clamps?
Is it being produced or is it a one off?

This is exactly what I was getting at. With the smaller Braille battery you could go deep enough that you wouldn't need a tray bottom and can by with just a single strap across the top.

      Nice job !!
