      Electronic Speedo Question

I'm not sure where to puts this because I'm not sure what the problem is.

I've installed an new Autometer eletronic speedometer with a T-56 Magnum transmission. The problem is at lower speeds the speedometer needle jumps around. At speeds below 10 MPH, it will jump wildly between 0 and 130 MPH. As I get to 35 MPH is will start to jump less and only fluctuate 10 MPH. By 50 - 55 MPH, it is stable and working correctly. Any ideas. Is it in the transmission sender, the gauge or something else?

It looks like I was able to get the speedo calibrated because at higher speeds it seems to be accurate.

I called Autometer and they said it is a known issue when using two wire speed sensors like in the T-56. He said to either install a 1.5K pull up resistor or send it back to Autometer to have the main board flashed to fix the problem. I'll try the resister first. It is quick and cheap.

Did you get it to work?
