      Hope to be PT 240Z

Just got this thing home and this is what I have to work with... We're going to try and fire it so I can sort everything in the chassis as I gather parts for a SBC swap....First 240Z for me...

I say get it up and running just to see what the turbo will do. You could drive it as you sort out the suspension. When the time comes an all aluminum LS engine would be the logical choice.

If you need any interior parts, or a full suspension setup. Let me know, I have most of the stuff needed to rebuild the interior of the car back to stock from when I had my 240z.

Although from the pictures, yours looks pretty intact. Nice find. L28T's can be a neat motor when done up. Sound cool too.

But I do have full Tokico suspension setup with Front/Rear sways and Urethane bushings for a 240z.

pm me re the interior please....I like your suspension parts too... This car is supposed to have "Turn 6" springs, gas shocks and after market front/rear sway bars already... Until I get it running I'll hold off on the suspension stuff...

Looking at Arizona Z's Wilwood 4 wheel disc setup.....Anyone with experiance with them/ this system ???

I thought only the 280 came with a turbo engine?

Nice looking car I'd say. Good luck getting it to where you want it.

Everything was looking good except the carb was too messed up from sitting (varnish/sticking floats/gasket leaks/etc).........

Oh well, get carb rebuilt and try again.... Figured out it has a 390cfm Holley on it.....

Nice Z bud. I have always had a soft spot for them since I have owned 2. a 78, and a 83 turbo. Good luck on the project.

Thank you all for the comments...
I planned on doing a V8, but this old school vibe is starting to grow on me....

The whole "20 years ago time capsule" look of this thing IS kinda kool.....

Not sure where I'm going to end up with this Bad Boy...

I just ordered a rear disc conversion for it... I hope to hear it "bark" this weekend....

Add gas and spark and BANG.... It started just like it had been parked yesterday....

Came up to temps aand stabilized perfect....

Smoked some but it appears to be clearing up....

With the turbo and muffler, it's just too damn quiet.....

Next is install rear disc brake conversion then work on clutch hydo system, gas tank cleaned, etc..........

      Wahoo !!!!

I'll deffinatly be watching this thread! Always loved the old school Datsuns.

There's a street bike stunt rider who used to have one all decked out. Not sure if he still has it, I've been out of the scene for years...
