Who says Japanese Engineering is better??..lol
I have had two window regulators / motors go out on me in the last week on my 98 Acura RL (commuter). Does that seem a little rediculous to you? lol...just though that I would share, anybody else have that kind of luck?
At least it is something simple to fix but inconvenient at the same time...Steve Martin

Many of the GM problems are not the motors, but the terribly cheap plastic cable guides and anchors in the regulator mechanism. An additional $0.50 on a $200+ part would be nice so it lasts longer than three years.

I had a '97 RL. Bought it in 2003. Both of the rear window regulators physically broke. Originally Posted by class67
Not that big of a deal as the rear windows are not used very often. However when the transmission gears physically broke (twice) that was bad.
I had an '88 Legend 5-speed manual before that car and a 1992 Legend.
I drive a Cadillac now.
