I agree. That car was cool, but the Model A is the bigger sleeper. Love the beginning of the vid with it sounding like a true model A, until a flip of the swotch makes all the cylinders fire evenly.

Those are pretty bad. But the sound really gives it away. I dig the Alpha the most. But I think the best "sleeper" has got to be the VW bus with a Porche drivetrain under it. I'm sure someone here has a vid somewhere.

Check out the red '63 Tempest in this thread, one of the all-time best sleepers:http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/s...hlight=tempest

My 455-powered '64 Tempest is in there too, the 455 has since been removed to swap in a new LS3.

I like the Espace and the VW van but best sleeper has to be the R5 Turbo. After all who would ever worry about a LeCar?

They are all wicked. Some true sleepers others engineering master pieces.

This truck looks rough but I bet it'll still shock you.

However I would love to see/own a mid F1 engined 1st/2nd Gen F-body similar to the Alfa. Please can one of you deep pocketed gearheads create one before I sell everything to embark on a dream!!!!!

Let's not forget that crazy '72 Nova Hot Rod did a story on a while back.

Its a close call between that green 1972 Nova and the Ford RS200. Over here (UK) everyone would instantly recognise the Ford.

But that Nova is so beat up who would imagine over 1000hp!!!!!!
