      T56 Part help?

I have just swapped a used LT1 style T56 into my car to find that somewhere along the line someone robbed the spacer between the bellhousing and slave cylinder.

I have called my local dealer and found that the GM part is discontinued and no dealer in the country is showing any stock! The rebuilders (D&D for expl) don't have them separate and will want to sell whole bell housing.

I am planning on having to fabricate one.... Next problem I don't know any dimensions for the spacer.

Any ideas on where I should check next? Any body have one accessible enough to shoot me dimensions, and pics?

Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated!!

It has the part number and the place that I was able to buy it from, and a cost.... Thought it might be useful for STREET ROD.

In case someone else want it p/n 12523315, from parts.com

Please ignore above posts with information on where to purchase spacer!

I just got an email from them stating that the part has been discontinued.... DUH!!!

Maybe don't state that discontinued parts are in stock when completing order

Back to square 1.... Anyone have a length measurement of the spacer?

PM me if you can't fine anyone that can give you the specs. I'll measure the one on my car if no one else can. It'll be at least tomorrow night though.

The sooner the better, but no pressure from me! I got the ends of the bracket I am making being cut out on the plasma today, and just need that length measurement to complete my spacer.

      spacer dimensions

The spacer is 2" thick. The center hole is 1.97"dia. I am going to make one unless i can find one for reasonable money. if yours doesnt workout pm me and i can make an extra. I have a full plate so it will be at least a couple weeks. Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for the measurement! I knew it had to be very close to that, but did not want to mess up the push rod engagement.

Streetrod, and anyone else that ever needs this part....

I got a call from a friend on another board, and told me about Auto Gear. They are making a reproduction spacer! I called them and they had two on their shelf, so..... I ordered it and it is perfect!!

http://www.autogear.net Part sells for $13.16, plus shipping!!!

I have my new one in my hands, so this is a legit supplier.

Just wish now I would not have spent $45 making a half ass steel one

BADNBLK, the part you ordered from autogear.net, was it "B14" on this page?
