My next project (some day) will be an early second gen Camaro. My very first car was a 73 RS back in 85 and I want another one with the full DSE, LSx swap treatment. Truth be told, I'd probably have to sell what I've got to do it though...lol!

      Maybe some day.

After (or in parallel with) my Chevelle (if it ever get done) I'll get back to work on the couple of Yamaha TZR125R two stroke bikes I have I hope to get atleast one done by summer :o)
After those are done I'll have to finish my 1980 Short wheelbase Chevy van.
Ant then..... only time will show but a street rod, a fifties car, a Harley or even an old wood runabout would be nice...

A dirt cheap patina build. $3k max, including purchase price. I'll need to get a bigger garage or a shop first!

I have the cars for my next two projects. First is going to be a 1967 GS400 convertible. I have the 70 455 stage one in the car already. and a new six speed is coming next. Second project is a 1962 chevy corvan. I will be changing the n/a flat six to a larger flat six with turbos and alot more cubic inches. and a six speed porshe automatic transaxle.

What's the criteria here? When you say future project, does it have to be a vehicle you don't already own? Right now I have my 76 Chevelle, and my daily driver is my Silverado. Both of them will be re-done... 01 Silverado as a slammed street truck, the Chevelle will be a mix of a nice hot rod feel outside and a completely custom interior, with emphasis on luxury and class.

Projects I don't own? Thought about buying an old extended cab S-10... say an '83 so its emissions exempt, and gutting the extended cab and putting a tool box in, cleaning it up for a nicer work truck. Something with a 4 cylinder to save gas.

Want to do an '82 Camaro, again with a completely custom interior and some body mods. A custom ram air hood (I have the design in my head, nobody makes it), and maybe retro fit some tail lights or something. I frequent thirdgen.org and there are so many stock nazis these poor guys don't know what a really custom camaro can look like.. Again the '82 because of emissions.

Would like to do a Regal someday, like a mid 80's. Again, I have issues with stock nazis and the whole Grand National thing, keeping them all stock and restored, bugs my need to customize. I wouldn't do that to a Grand National though, I really do GET keeping them stock, but I'd customize the sh*t out of a Regal to compensate.

I'd like to take two 60-66 Chevy pickups, and cut and weld the cabs together to make a 4-door retro Avalanche. I think Fast Eddy did a drawing similar to what I'd want to do. I'd like to take a 67-72 Chevy and chop the top, add a step side and make it look nice.

A 2nd gen firebird, with side skirts and something different with the rear end instead of those pinched looking tail lights.

Lots and lots of ideas, very little money and space.

Just whatever you have an itch to build next. Looks like a lot of nice projects coming up.

      mjoc1,
Like the idea of the corvan. Always liked custom vans from the 70s.

Wanna build a station wagon. Really like the 56 Pontiac Safari. Or a 65 two door chevelle to go with my 65 Malibu and Elky. Trouble is I already have a 64 GTO and a 57 Chevy pickup waiting to be done.

My next project will not be pro-touring. It is going to be a mid 70's to late 80's Chevy 4x4. Something that I can tow with, haul parts in and use as a daily driver during inclement weather.

The SmokinSS build is almost ready to hit the road. The next build here at the skillcenter by popular demand of the student technicians is a rat rod wrecker. We are taking a 63 GMC off a 2 ton fire truck, putting on a 92 E-350 chassis with a Holmes 400 wrecker boom. The 63" has a V-6 351, with a 5 speed all with less than 40,000 miles on it, spent it's whole life in a fire house. After spending 25 years building hardcore performance vechicles this is going to be different. Can't wait.

That concept art is right on. That's fast eddy's drawing. Those other pickups though... bed's too long. I want something with the same profile as today's avalanche. Then get the tailgate stamped with "Avalanche" Real old school.

They actually made some crew cabs back in the day. Not GM, but some coach company bought a big fleet of them and customized them and sold them. Saw a blurb about it in a magazine... might even have a link somewhere.
