Got my console back from the upholstery shop Thursday. Installed my audio controller head, Holley efi screen, shift boot, cupholder and a couple of usb ports for charging phones. Fit pretty good between the seats.Name: IMG_0077.jpg

Nice build! Refreshing to see a Buick built like this in a period color...looks a little brighter than '66 cream.

It’s a factory code “Y” color for the car, but I added some gold pearl in the binder coat before it was cleared. Really changes the look in good sunlight.

Buick is getting so close to being done that I bought myself a retirement project. Couldn’t pass on this 70 gto that’s been stored for over 20 years without being touched. About two hours of toying with it and I drove it on my trailer!! Let the fun begin!Name: IMG_2544.jpg

Looks great who'ld thought we would have 2 1966 Buick builds going at the same time on this site? lol

What transmission are you running? I am using a T56 Magnum and even with the Tinman trans tunnel it is REALLY tight. I also used Tinman's frame and motor mounts can not get more than 4 degrees of engine tilt without the trans hitting the floor pan. Even here it is super close to the floor pan and we may have to cut even more material out of it to make it serviceable. Console looks great and I see you have manual so I am curious if you used a T56 your floor pan and trans tunnel look stock in the other pics.

I put those same US Mag wheels on my 69 Cutlass, love them. You can easily fit C6 base or Z51 brakes behind the 18” version.

Mine is an auto(4L60e) I just used a short lokar shifter with a boot so it “looks” different. My motor still identifies as a Buick though……lol

Lol, motor looks great what accessory bracket set did you use? I have the ICT PS and Alt down low and we are having difficulty with the steering linkage for the power rack in the car and the set up you have might work. Are you planning AC? Mine is going to be a turbo set up and not sure about AC yet I have a Vintage unit out of another car I may use.

Mine was 100% Buick till I decided to pull the V6 and sell it. I was going to sell the roller but decided to do something different the chassis suspension and frame are all custom built DSE stuff really nicely done. I am a diehard Buick guy though and have a 1500hp DnD 87 GN and frame off 86 Ttype pro-touring car on this site somewhere too. All V6 stuff. I will be posting some progress pics.

I used LS Simple front drive parts and a factory AC compressor with my vintage air. I’ve got Holley mounts and k-member and the compressor fit really nice. Blows about 42 degrees from the vents!
