      LS swap kit

I've seen a few recommend using the Holley swap kit for a 68-72 GM A body. Most of what I find is fairly old, is this still the best option? Speed engineering seems to have some decent prices too.
Same question for headers. There are a million out there, what's the best fitting. LS3 from a corvette going in a 70 GTO if it makes much difference.

I don’t think Holley can be beat for swaps on a stock frame. They have the mounts, oil pan, accessory drive, and exhaust all engineered to work together.

Speed engineering is just selling a bunch of random parts by the look of it.

Holley seems to be getting rid of the Blackheart headers and exhaust for the 68-72 A body, they do still list 1 7/8" headers and 3" exhaust. They still have the Flowmaster headers, but I'm not sure which swap mounts they were designed for.

This is a heck of a deal if they really have them in stock

Use the Holley swap stuff and save yourself some headache. Mix and match will save you money, but what is your time worth? You could save a few bucks on the oil pan because most of them are the same. Just get teh 302-2 or knock off equivalent. I would stay away from the Speed Engineering headers. I know 2 friends that used them on A bodies and had issues. If you can find some Hooker Blackheart mids or full length I would go with them..

Good to know. I watched a video the other day and the dude talked about how great his speed engineering headers fit. It was on a 71 Chevelle.

The Speed Engineering headers fit perfectly on my 1971 Monte Carlo, but the crossmember on the frame is more to the front of the engine than on other A body cars. I can drop both sides without removing any other components.
