      Steering Boxes

Ok, so I really want to upgrade my stock 800 steering box in my 73 Camaro, but it doesn't look like there are any good options out there. Looks like 600 boxes are near impossible to find unless you want spend crazy money for them. Are the 700 boxes like the Sweet box that ridetech offers worth the swap? I called ridetech and they said it is probably about the same feel as the stock box but with a faster ratio.

Don't even mention PTFB LOL. I've tried for weeks to get a hold of that guy to order parts, and I'm over trying to spend money with him.

I spent the money on the TurnOne SB2 box and went with Lee for the PS pump/reservoir for it. I couldn't be happier. I've had several over the years (in attempts to be frugal) and the TurnOne is by far the best.

I used a steering box from an S10 with the ZQ8 suspension (it was a handling package that could be had individually or was included in the extreme package). It’s great! Added a lot more resistance and feel to the steering.

I used an AGR 12:1 box in my 68 and am very satisfied.

Turn One has been sold out for a while and isn't taking backorders. Lee only offers 800 boxes.

I think I'm going to try the 700 from ridetech. They emailed me back and said they can get custom torsion bars to improve the feel.

Lee can pretty much do anything you want to your current box, I'd give them a call. I sent mine to them and I'm happy with it.

I actually found 600 boxes in stock at PSC so after a brief conversation with them I placed an order for one.

It's a 100% new box. Tighter, lighter, better.
