      Undercoating

      I'm doing a pro touring restoration of a '72 formula 400.

I am wondering what a good solution to coating the under body; do I have it painted? zolatone? bedliner? lizardskin?

It's not a show car; would like something that is durable and cleanable.

Thanks for your suggestions in advance.

I use 2-3 coats of black epoxy followed by SEM bedliner. Nice shiny durable finish that cleans up easily.

I did eastwood rust encapsulator, epoxy primer and lizard skin ceramic coating. I should have top coated the lizard skin, but it's working fine. My wheel wells are U-Pol Raptorliner.

The SEM has a shiny plastic finish and cleans easily.

Does it burn once it catches on fire, or self extinguish?

Doesn’t seem to burn. Smells and smokes a little when I’ve had to weld something like a console bracket to the floor etc.
