      9" Rear End Measurement

I have a 69 Camaro, purchasing ridetech level 2 kit with a 4-link . Will be running DSE minitub as well. My plan is to go with a 18x12 with a 335/30 tire out back. I know the best measurement is with the wheel but I came across a local listing for a 9" that has already been professionally narrowed. The measurements from housing flange to housing flange is 51 3/4". I've been doing research on the site and it shows WMS to WMS of 56" or somewhere around that. Is the housing flange measurement giving me a shorter measurement or is this rear end to short for my application?

I don't know if there is a difference between a 68 and a 69, I'm running 18x12s with a 5.25" backspacing. and I had my rear end narrowed just recently to a total WMS to WMS of 53" and the housing flange widths were 48" as i plan for a 2.5" axle offset.
You could always run a lower axle offset and then when it comes time for wheels, assuming you use a reputable dealer, let them know the size of your housing and and they can supply a suitable backspacing. maybe less aggressive lips.
but most people will say to buy the wheels first then buy the rear end to suit the wheel fitment.

It sounds like the rear end will work based on your measurments from housing flange to housing flange. How deep are the lips on your wheels? I prefer a deeper lip

Quite deep, this is them mounted on another 68 with a 52" WMS to WMS for reference, i decided i wanted them to sit even wider so added an inch overall.
