      Rearend SCORE!!!!!!!!

So most see my avatar and know its a Monza, some actually are familiar with my plans for a PT twin turbo 283 SBC Monza.
So I have been trying to score a 4wd 3.42 rear end in an 8.5 ,,,, namely too make wheel choices much easier as stock width 54.5-55 in rear ends up me using a 3.5 in back space wheel.
WEEELLLL not a lot of 3.5 bs17 in rims out there.
So new service writer has dad and son scrapping out a ZR 2 S10.
Soo for your viewing pleasure the ZR 2 rear end is like 63 in, its a 10 bolt also and actually if I remember correctly only came 3.73.
So its slow at work and Mac, service writer, wants me to swap in both his new front wheel bearings on his truck.
Tells me he will give me rear end and deliver it for doing his wheel bearings.

Soooooo got better rear end ,wider rear end and lower gears to boot! And all for doing something in shop but not having to stand around.

And now I believe a Corvette 17 in wheel will bolt right on and I might even get rear disc brakes!!!!!!

ok so they dropped rearend off at work,I got spring pads hacked off, then my service manager ,who gave me the rear set it outside and scrappers snagged it. And he promised to haul it home for me but NEVER got around to it.
Glad I dont work with him anymore, funny works not so stressful anymore.

      Lee

Go get a Explorer 8.8, Plenty of those laying around. Easy to narrow them. 3.73, disc, 31 spline.
