We're still dialing in the ridetech coil-overs, each time we go out the car just gets faster and faster. This last trip out we installed the smaller rear anti-sway bar 3/4" vs 7/8" and made a few clicks on the shocks and ran the fastest we've ever gone at Adams.

We also changed the front fenders and hood to aluminum thanks to AMD (Auto Metal Direct) All in all, we pulled nearly 150 lbs out of the car.

Sal wasn't fast enough before? :D

Quick question for you guys - AMD aluminum fenders for a 68? I haven't seen those in the catalogue or website. Any idea if that's a mass produced item? If not, can you get me a pair?

My bad, I misunderstood Sal. The fenders are steel, the hood is aluminum.

Video from the USCA event last weekend at Fontana. I haven't seen the final results yet but I believe Sal ended up in 3rd on the Speed/Stop and 7th on the Autocross. Sal left for vacation on Sunday so we didn't get to run the big track.

      Quick bump.

      J,
Did you guys fit a 285 up front? Also, what kind of spindle is on the car? It's not mustang II ANYMORE, right? What bearing does it use?

Falken doesn't make a 285/35/18 so we still have a 275 up front. Chad Ryker's '68 has R888 275's. The R888's are nearly as wide as the 295 Pilot Sports we have on Ed's Mustang.

The spindle has always been a custom design, strangely enough they are loosely based on something WAY earlier than than the Mustang. The Chromoly pins we use are based on Granada dimensions so bearings are easy to find.

It doesn't look good for them to be making a kit. They've been really busy and even just broke ground on a new facility.

I am not sure what part # they used on Chad Ryker's car but it's a 3" offset inlet/center outlet with a 14" body.

Sal took the car to Fontana this weekend to practice the infield course before USCA next month. It was very busy and there were a bunch of crazy fast cars there.
