      Ultimate Street Car Association USCA

Spreading the word about the USCA. Check out the link and give your thoughts. I for one am excited about this. When was the last time a 1984 Monte Carlo SS hit Daytona!

This should be a great series and contrary to the rumor mill, protective armor, invisible forcefield shields, tractor beams that keep your car grounded to track terra firma, ... and rollcages are not mandatory. Stay tuned for the official Rules and get ready for some fun times at some really neat "bucket list" tracks.

Definitely waiting to see these. Lots of questions about what will and will not be required, vehicle classing (if any), the points system, sound limits, entry costs etc. Hopefully these get answered soon so adjustments can be made if required prior to making plans for when and where to race next year. With the first event being listed for March, time is short on getting things published so the prep can be done before paying for spots in the races.

Hey now, I had the invisible forcefield taken care of. I was just worried about the rollcage issue. Since that's apparently not an issue, bring it on.
Hope they roll out the details soon! Like everyone else, I want everything yesterday.

If you're attending the first Ultimate Street Car Association event that will be held at Laguna Seca next year and feel the need for some pre-event track education, you're in luck. Hooked on Driving has booked this same track for a two-day event, http://www.hookedondriving.com/event...R_-_Feb._22-23, and they have excellent instructors that will ride with you and show you the best ways around this tricky track.

While this is listed as a two-day event, each day (Saturday or Sunday) can be purchased separately. I've run with this group before and they're very safety conscious, have instructors that have raced and won (and can explain how to do that driving stuff pretty well, too), and this is done in your own car.

www.hookedondriving.com for more information. Be advised that this track normally has a maximum sound requirement so make sure what you've got is adequately muffled.
