I need some info/help regarding wheel size for a mini-tubbed 2nd gen Camaro
Hi all,
I just finished mini-tubbing my 1970 Camaro (DSE tubs) and installing a ridetech 4-link rear. Now I need to get a set of a CCW wheels, I already have the tires for the rear (335/30-18 BFG KDW). My car has a stock 10 bolt diff. (61.25 flange to flange) and my initial measurement results (using a Percy's plastic tool, it isn't very good!) I think I need 6.5 in. backspace to get about 3/8 in. clearance to the lower arm and the shock lower mount. I would like to hear from some of you who already made that kind of mod. to see what kind of measurements/sizes you came up with just to see how far I'm off.
I will pay about $2800 + shipping for the wheels, and I'm not ready to do an expensive mistake ordering the wrong wheel size, taking them back is no option as I'm not living in the US and that would cost me as much as what the wheels worth!
any info I get would be highly appreciated.
