Nice, what kind of car is this?

Kinda a late response on this one, but that is a a9x Holden Torana, and in fact it is not a widebody, that is the factory body! It was made in 1977, and was pretty much made just for competition in the touring car series where it was a terror, and won pretty much every race it entered.

those are BR Wheels . ultra licht so light that when you whant to pull them out of the box you need to be carfull not to hit yourself in the face.
they are 16 inch rims but with the same hart as a 17 inch rim.
so you can ez put a 13 inch disk brake system in there and and stil have 3/4 inch room left.
front are 11 inch wide rear 13 inch. tires are GT racing slicks 27 inch tall in the rear 25 up frond.
we are building a GTSD race car 730 hp 700 lbs feet of torque 7300 rpm 475 ci aluminum PONTIAC engine 4 inch stroke 4,35 bore. havend disided on the transmission yet thinking of a tranzilla t56 trans. car wil weight in at 2900/3000 lbs.
hope we can squeze out around 210mph . but acseleration is more importend. as top speed on most track over here in europe is around 170mph..

New guy here, & in case you are wondering i did just sign up to post in here but the more I look around this looks like a pretty informative place so I will be spending some time here hoping to learn & contribute a little here & there. I wish I had found this a few years ago when I started my wide body camaro project. I figured since this thread was asking to see wide body camaros & other muscle cars I would share my project. Its a 1999 Z28, I made the quarters, fenders, rockers, spoiler, nose, & rear bumper. The bumpers are going through a slight redesign right now but you will get the idea. Each corner is 2" wider than stock & I'm running 295's up front & 335's in the rear.

Anyone have any more info/build thread of any kind on that Orange and Black Mustang??

Here are a couple threads the owner made about the car, it might not be obvious in the pictures, but the car has a targa top roof also, that the owner made from scratch using components from vettes:

http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/pics-videos-buffet-149/769539-04-gt-ccw-widened-rear-flairs-targa.html

http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/pics-videos-buffet-149/783044-04-gt-ccws-335s-targa-amateur-photoshoot.html

http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/pics-videos-buffet-149/856541-new-concave-deep-dish-pics.html

I personally like it best on the 18" CCW Classics, the new deep dish concave wheels he put on it are nice, but I like the CCW's a lot more.

I'm not sure if I love this one or hate it. The tires just look way to small. It looks like a blast to drive though.

It does make me miss my old '88 325is though. Talk about fun to drive. It was the only car I have owned that I could truly throttle steer (not drift, actual throttle steer). It was also a blast to drift.

The Chaparral Camaro is the only One left out of Three Built!

The Tire Bird is Actually a Camaro as the Trans-Am Rules would not allow a Firebird Motor, but in Canada the Firebird was Sold with a Camaro Engine. So they built the Tire Bird from a Camaro and swapped the Nose & Tail

Don't laugh but this was 1987.

This is (was) my 1974 Mazda Rotory Pick-up. Which is the same as the Ford Couriers of the time except they had flared out wheel wells from the factory. I would like to see one of these done with modern equipment and a tad bit of Trans Am style.

For 1987 I had a couple things going that still seem to be used such as the Triumph TR6 filler cap, exhaust exiting from the ground effects, and ground effects.

I found this truck on a used car lot with the top chopped, tail gate filled already, I just added my stance and vibe. The ground effect were just straight sheet metal bent and fitted, but it kind of worked. Anybody remember the Testarosa mirrors from back in the day.

I could see this truck with a modern interpretation of the theme and a LS motor and serious autocross action suspension. The Rotory that was in it was not to shabby in itself. But I later replaced it with a ford 302.

Wanted to post this up a while ago when the thread was still active, but I had to track down the magazine first. Anyhoo, from the 80's one of my favorite magazine cars and definitely got some booty.

That first red Camaro is out there! Like I have always said, you can get away with anything when your racing, and generally beating the crap out out of your car. Its amazing how many variations of the same tire coverage there are. I'm going to sneek a Mustang in here. Ron
