You're going to have to notch your rear frame rails in order to fit 18x12s w/ a 335 tire.

is that something hard to do? is it going to be expensive?

I am a little confused. Are you doing a mintub w/o notching the frame? You have to minitub and notch the rear frame to get 12" wide rims to fit in a first gen. Unless you flair the fenders, but most of the time that looks stupid.

If you can weld, and have some basic fabrication skills, it's not that hard. If you do it yourself, it's only expensive as the steel you need to box the rail (less than $50).

I did mine myself and had about 25 hours of labor into the tubs, crossmember for coil overs, and frame notch. My 18x12s with 345/30/18 drag radials fit with room to spare.

Hey Chris, got pics of your setup? I am thinking of doing the same thing as you. You running a 4 link or something in the rear?
thanks,
Dave
