      American Racing Torqlites

      Does anyone have a real, actual picture of the Torqlite with the polished rims with grey centers? Pics on their website and every other wheel store website show some generic pic that's hard to see the actual wheel. I want to know what they look like in real life.

      If you mean the torq thrusts, I have some pics of my old 69 Camaro with those wheels in 17 inch. Geive me an email address and I can send some.

      I have a question regarding my 1967 Camaro , I order 17x7 front and 17x 8 back TT II's . the front rims were to big ,had to change them for 16x7 ... any thoughts...think it will look ok ??

      So they don't come in any custom widths? For the price could'nt you just have them widened? I think they are a great looking wheel and would buy a set if they came in an 11" width.

      AR has a custom shop, but I wonder if they would do a job on these wheels. Now 1967_Camaro has me thinking about front wheel clearance with 17X7's, 4" backspace, and front fender lip rubbing...

      Those are nice, but I'd paint the centers a darker shade of grey/charcoal.

      I agree. Darker centers would look nicer. That's why I started leaning towards fully polished ones. But it could be the guy who did that eBay listing used a junky camera. I even thought of getting a set of polished ones and having them anodized black.

      I bought a set for my Road Runner just to have as rollers until my 3pc wheels are done, but I hated the gray, so I painted the centers flat black. Pictures are on our Fquick, but here you go:





      And here's a Grand National I did with them in 18" polished and Nittos.

      They remind me of the old Weld Prostar XPs that used to be available in larger sizes.

      Jon, nice 69RR! Nearly killed me to see the pics. From '88 to '97, I had a 69 RR 383 column shift with buckets that was L1 beige with black stripes. I miss that car. I may call you soon for a quote on a set of Torq Lites/tires.

      Do these wheels come in custom offsets, Jon? Looking for 11"s too. I think the AR website said they only go up to 10".

      The largest American Racing makes them is 18x8. I'm running 17's on my RR, they are 18's on the black GN, both have 275 wide Nittos on the rears. For anything wider, it will have to be widened by another wheel widening shop. There are a few out here in CA that will do it, unless you guys have someone you already use for the service.

      velozo: Thank you for the compliments. I have baer brakes to install on the car, with some 19's and 20's on the way from MHT. I plan on updating the suspension as much as possible, two toning the car, and re-finishing the interior. It's a 383/4speed car right now. I'm looking forward to hearing from you about wheels.

      If anyone wants these custom painted black, or graphite, let me know, I can have them done before they ship.
