Curious what you ended up going with for the console finish. I'd think the bedliner would be sticky on your arm.

I used the the rattle can bedliner. It went on OK, but it isn't great. I will probably get back to the console eventually. It is functional for now and I have other things to worry about.

Since I am hoping to be running about 135MPH at the end of the drag strip, I figured it was a good time to do a little maintenance. The Baer brakes have been working great, but the rotors were getting grooved pretty badly and the pads were almost gone. Keep in mind I have over 40K miles on these brakes since the car was built in 2015.

I ordered new rotors and cleaned up the hats.

I also cleaned up the hardware and torqued the fasteners in a star pattern.

Not too bad for 12 years old parts.

For brake pads I chose to go with the EBC Yellow pads, because they claim to work well when the brakes are cold. Given that this is a street car and occasional drag car, this seemed like a good way to go.

I also installed a new set of coil-overs. The old ones were leaking a little bit. I am not mad about that, considering the mileage.

The new shocks will also help with dialing in the launch at LS Fest.

Loaded up the Cougar for a little test drive to make sure nothing is weird. The Suburban is an 89 and is something that I have been working on for the last two years. It has a 6.4L Gen 3 Hemi is VVT and MDS delete and a small Summit cam. It also has an 8HP70. Makes for a nice tow vehicle.

Drove it for about 10 miles both around town and on the highway. She cruises nicely at 70MPH turning about 1700RPM.

Hitting the road for LS Fest in about 2 weeks.

Love this build, Andrew! How are you handling the suspension, wheels, and brakes? Having friends who know their stuff makes all the difference.
