      Questions after Detroit Locker install

I had a Detroit Locker installed in my 9 inch amd have a couple of concerns. When I get on and of the gas the car wants to veer briefly, usually to the right it seems. Is this a quirk of a Detroit Locker or is there a problem?

Also after the rear end warms up 6-8+ miles there is a whine on coast. It is worse when in gear than when in neutral. I tried coasting down a hill to maintain speed and it did not seem to do it. If it whines on accel I cannot hear it over my exhaust.

On a positive note I got the "soft" locker and cannot hear any noise when turning. Maybe this is also a sign something is wrong???

      Thanks for any input.

I got a locker, and yes, the "veer" or pull getting on and off the gas is a normal operating characteristic of a locker.

The whine likely is due to gear setup, either pinion depth or backlash. Not detrimental, but annoying.

If you don't drag race a lot, try to get a decent clutch posi or a Detroit rue-trac as these are the best on the market for drivability.

Check for even rear tires pressures.
