      LS2 starving for fuel????????

I have a situation with my LS2 that I installed in my 67 Chevelle. When I drive the car for an hour or so and it is warm out the car wants to die at idle if it sits for a few seconds. The temperature outside was in the low 80's and the motor temp was around 195-200. It seems to be starving for fuel but it smells like it is running rich. The fuel pump has good pressure (Rick's Tank), I cracked open the gas cap for good measure in case it was vapor locked but it didn't help and the motor has a stock tune in it. The weird thing is after it sits for a minute or so it starts back up and runs fine as long as you are in the throttle. The problem is at idle only. This is just a driver not a race car. Any ideas?

Injector leaking down a bit possibly? Are you able to get someone to plug into the diagnostic port and see what sensors are reading? Scott

Did you try using a vented cap.

I cracked the cap open and it has a vent tube on it.

      LS2 starving for fuel????????

Are you getting your fuel pressure readings from the fuel rail?

I would start with the basics, check/replace the fuel filter, check the fuel line for obstructions. What is your voltage to the fuel pump when it stalls?

I think it was the cap. It only does it when it runs for an hour continous. I may take it for a longer ride this weekend and see what happens. Got my fingers crossed. Thanks for all the responses.
