      T56 Magnum VSS Question

Looked thru the forum and have seen conflicting info. I am wiring a Painless F5 Dual Radiator Fan Controller and it has provisions for the VSS to shut the fans off if car speed exceeds a set value. I have the plug for the VSS and it has 2 wires. One will go to the fan controller. What do I do with the other wire? I read that it should be grounded. I read that it needs 5 volts. I read that it needs 12 volts. I called Painless and he said it needs 12 volts. Magnum is in a 69 Camaro. Just wanted to wire this thing one time and not smoke something in the process. Anyone wired their VSS in the 1st gen Camaro's, independent of the ECU? Thanks

      T56 Magnum VSS Question

I don't think they get power. It's a Hall effect sensor, just a ground and a signal. But if painless says so and it's their kit you're working with then go for it? Lol.
