      First gen camaro front clip

So I picked this car up yesterday and of course as I am looking at it I am seeing things I didnt the first time. Its an ex pro street car I am working to take back to a fun street driven hot rod. I noticed one of the body mounts were moved yesterday but when looking again today I noticed both body mounts were redone. I also noticed it looks like there is a larger than normal gap between the firewall and front clip. Im trying to remember what my 68 looked like and I looked online but I cant find any pictures. Is this a normal gap? Is it possible they pushed the front axle forward?

Well I think I figure out why it looked funny. For whatever reason the previous owner removed the front subframe mounts from the subframe and the firewall. I guess these are the mounts I need to put them back on the firewall. Is that correct?

Looks like a good excuse to install an aftermarket front subframe ;)

Yeah I was thinking about that but I still would have to repair the subframe mounts at the fire wall. Anyone know if the link I provided is the correct mounts I need to re-weld to the firewall?

That does look right to me. You can see it on my car in this picture where the subframe meets the firewall.

      That's the right part.
You can get the dimensions online to make sure you get them in the right spot.

I would like to tell you yes because I'm that talented but No, it's a TCI front set up and I just got the matching rear and I'm neck deep in sorting it all out.

Please do post a build thread on how you are progressing.
