      tool box value

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the market value is for this box. A guy wants to trade this to me for something I have and I have no idea what I can get out of it. I really have no need for it. Its both the top and bottom box minus the side cabinet on the left end. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I used to sell cars and we used to always say there is a car for every ass and an ass for every car, in other words it's worth whatever someone is willing to pay. A dale fan would pay way more then someone who just wants a snap on box. If it were me I'd do the trade and just try to get whatever you traded for was worth or a Lil more...regardless of what it's "worth"... 200$ now is better then 225$ six months from now...get my point?...good luck

I would say about $3,000 (to me it is just a toolbox and not a collector item). Going for less than that on eBay but does not look to be in as good condition. Side box would add about $500. Just my two cents.

The box is worth about $3000 to $4500 used street price i guess you could say. But selling it will be a task, most mechanics would just get it off the truck and make payments and save the liquid cash. I'm a heavy equipment mechanic and bought my matco used from a private seller for $3000.

I just bought a killer KLR series snap on box off craigslist. Box retailed for $10800.00 less than 6 months old for $3400. Just got be ready when you see the deal. Hell I didn't even need that much box (3rd) box. But just like cubic inch can't have too much

Be careful of these deals. A box less than 6 months old for 1/3 what he paid. If the box is financed through Snap-On credit, they own it. If the guy defaulted payment and sold it, if they find it, they can take it. Your just out if this happens. I'd check the serial numbers with Snap-On just for piece of mind.

I would guess that box is between 10-15 years old, If you look on the back there should be a number stamped or a sticker that should have a year. I actually sold Snap On for 9 years, I wouldn't give him more than 3 grand, Make sure it has roller bearing drawers. It would be a good box for your personal use. I wouldn't bank on selling it. The reason most guys don't have 3g to buy it that's why they make payments to the snappy man!!
